Diversity and Oneness
Diversity seems to point to differences. Diverse groups are often defined by ethnic, racial, religious, political, social, financial, gender and cultural identities. In the Personal View the more differences in identity, the more diversity and the more potential for conflict.
With the Spiritual View diversity is seen differently. Diversity is seen as a confirmation of oneness. Spiritual qualities like peace, intelligence, gratitude and love are expressed by individuals from all diverse groups. When this occurs our oneness is confirmed, evidenced by the shared recognition of the beneficial value of spiritual qualities when they are expressed, regardless of any personal diversity.
This is the oneness expressed through unlimited diversity. To see this is comforting and benefits us all.
