Creativity

Creativity is expression.

In the Personal View creativity is the expression of oneself, often looking for the acknowledgement of others.

In the Spiritual View creativity is the expression of spiritual qualities, seeking to express the good of life.

The Personal View becomes troublesome as it is often in conflict, competition and comparison with others. Creative expression in the Personal View can sometimes be filled with the fear of failure.

The cultural adoration of individuals designated as “creative” puts individuals on a pedestal that is difficult to maintain and almost impossible to reach for the rest of us. It is often believed that creativity needs to be extraordinary and is a gift of a few.

Yet, creativity is available for everyone in every moment as the source of creativity is spiritual qualities. With the Spiritual View creativity is the expression of spiritual qualities which occurs in an infinite variety of ways. It can be studied or spontaneous, yet it is always fulfilling.

Creative expression in the Spiritual View is the unique response to the need of the moment. This is the dynamic expression of the good of life. In the Personal View this dynamic is obscured by what is wanted and not wanted, thoughts of what should and should not be.

When receptive to the Spiritual View the burden of personal creativity is lifted and we can simply be a transparent expression of the qualities of intelligence, beauty, harmony and creativity.
