AI and the Search for Intelligence

Humans have always been in search of knowledge with the hope of understanding their life experience and making it better. We have relied on what is called the evolution of human intelligence to survive and flourish, as we discover more and more information about the world we live in.

The source of this human intelligence has been considered by many to be the human brain, with the ability for thinking, reasoning and problem solving. 

Now computer generated Artificial Intelligence has taken us further than the limits of the human brain. Artificial intelligence is considered to be when a machine can surpass the cognitive abilities of humans, not only absorbing information but reasoning and learning on its own.

All of this is managed by computers as an extension of human intelligence processed in a more effective and efficient way. In the Spiritual View, AI is recognized as a continuation of the evolution of our understanding of intelligence, as we eventually need to go beyond the limits of human thinking. and become expressions of intelligence. 

In the Spiritual View intelligence is  a spiritual quality, ex­pressed as inspired ideas that benefit human experience. Intelligence is not generated by the human brain. It requires receptivity for it to manifest in our human experience. This intelligence has existed forever and has benefited human experience throughout the ages.

This can be seen in the inspired ideas that have continu­ally been received and manifested in all realms of human endeavors, including science, religion, politics, business, psychology and much more. 

AI is the current, temporary expression in the evolution of understanding what intelligence is. In a Spiritual View intelligence is eternal, and AI is seen as a temporary expression of intelligence.

How does knowing this benefit our lives? It relieves the burden  of  trying  to  figure  out  everything  “with  our brain” while allowing us to enjoy the  efficiency and effectiveness that AI can bring into our daily lives. And most importantly it reveals that there is intelligence beyond human intelligence and artificial intelligence. It is spiritual intelligence, which brings ideas that express peace, gratitude, assurance and love in our lives.

It is good to see this evolution toward Artificial Intelligence as it gets us closer to understanding intelligent life with the Spiritual View.
